In a time where there's a growing aspiration for computers to emulate human qualities, artist Zoe Friedman instead aims for the precision achieved by technology. As a software engineer, she constantly encounters the near-flawless capabilities of computers. Inspired by this, she endeavors to honor it through her creation of photorealistic artworks using the traditional medium of charcoal. Through the use of an organic medium such as charcoal, she distinguishes her artistry from mechanical processes, accentuating the significance of the artist's vision and establishing an environment that invites deeper contemplation of the intricate details within the composition.
